Biography of Gordon Ramsey

On November 8, 1966, in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Ramsay was conceived.
At the age of twelve, he was selected to play football for Warwickshire’s under-14 team. His football career was marred by injuries.
Ramsay had recently enrolled in North Oxfordshire Technical College to study hotel management, and his passion for cooking had only begun.
He was the commis gourmet chef at the Wroxton House Hotel from mid-1980s till the situation became problematic because to his sexual relationship with the owner’s partner. After relocating to London, he worked at a series of restaurants until being persuaded to join the unstable Marco Pierre White’s staff at Harveys.
After working at Harvey’s, he became weary of “the furies and the decided that thinking about French cuisine would be the best way to further advance his career. White reassured Ramsay to work for Albert Roux at Le Gavroche in Mayfair, where he met Jean-Claude Breton, but he was discouraged from pursuing a job in Paris.
After several years of employment at Le Gavroche, Albert Roux invited Ramsay to join his team. The 23-year-old Ramsay relocated to Paris in order to work with Michelin-starred chefs Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon. He was the personal chef of the Bermuda-based private yacht Idlewild.
Under cook supporter Pierre Koffmann, Ramsay was offered the position of head culinary chef in London 1993. Reappearing in his life, Marco Pierre White offered to place him in a job as chief gourmet specialist. The restaurant was rechristened Aubergine, and went on to earn its first fourteen Michelin stars.
In 1997, Aubergine was awarded a second Michelin star. Ramsay left the company because he had always wanted to own his own restaurant.

In 1988

Gordon Ramsay opened his own restaurant in Chelsea with help from his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson and his former Aubergine partners. In 2001, the restaurant received its third Michelin star.
He then unlocked Petrus, which he was eventually forced to close. Restaurants at the Connaught and Dubai Creek hotels followed, the last bearing the name of his protégé, Angela Hartnett. Ramsay has established restaurants abroad, beginning with Verre in Dubai. Two restaurants, Cerise by Gordon Ramsay and Gordon Ramsay at Conrad Tokyo, debuted in Tokyo in 2005 . Gordon Ramsay won best newcomer in the city’s coveted Zagat direct in November of 2006 when the London opened in New York City.
Ramsay launched his first restaurant in Ireland in 2007. He launched his first restaurant in the US in May 2008. Ramsay established his first restaurant in Canada on August 9, 2011. The owner of the restaurant announced that the establishment was severing ties with Gordon Ramsay, and the restaurant closed in 2013.
