Anthony Joshua has made a remarkable return to the gym, describing his training as “mental strength therapy” following a tragic car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, and trainer, Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele. The 36-year-old boxer shared a video on social media, showing him working on pads and exercising, just 19 days after the incident.

In the post, Joshua captioned the clip “Mental Strength Therapy”, highlighting the emotional aspect of his recovery. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, emphasized that Joshua needs time to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually before making any decisions about his future in boxing.

The accident occurred while Joshua was on holiday in Nigeria, following his win against Jake Paul in Miami. He sustained minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital, but the loss of his team members has been deeply felt.
