At CCXP Mexico on April 26, 2026, Pedro Pascal surprised fans with an unannounced appearance alongside director Jon Favreau to preview _Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu_. The moment quickly turned emotional.

The crowd responded by chanting his name, and Pascal blew a kiss to fans after addressing them in Spanish. He wore a Mexico men’s World Cup 2026 soccer jersey for the event.

Pascal, Favreau, and Grogu gave attendees an exclusive first look at the opening sequence of _The Mandalorian and Grogu_. The film marks the franchise’s return to theaters for the first time since 2019.

It teases Hutts, Kyuzo bounty hunters, Anzellans, an Ardennian fry cook voiced by Martin Scorsese, and even an unmasked Mando. Sigourney Weaver joins as Colonel Ward, and Jeremy Allen White plays Rotta the Hutt, son of Jabba. Zeb Orrelios from _Rebels_ also appears.
