Kim Kardashian opens up about about being a single parent and 'basically raising four kids by myself.'
The Skims Founder shares four children—North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five—with ex-husband and rapper Kanye West. She filed for divorce from him in 2021 and Kanye is currently married to Australian architect Bianca Censori since 2022. Kim appeared on Zoe Winkler’s What the Winkler? podcast and spoke about the struggles of raising her children "alone" as well as the judgement she receives when discussing that because of her access to resources such as nannies.
"I think you and I’ve mostly connected on parenting. And judgment, and feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us.," The reality TV star said during the November 12 episode of the podcast to Zoe, who is the daughter of actor Henry Winkler.

"But sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself," Kim continued.
After her admission, Kim provided an example about gathering her children and their friends for school as she carpooled this morning and how hectic it was specifically when "everyone wants to leave at like different times or wants different stuff." She described the experience as feeling like she's "at like a pit stop of a race car driver" as she tells her children to brush their teeth, get dressed and do their hair.
Zoe commended the 44-year-old for taking her kids to school every morning and Kim shared how that responsibility is really important to her.
"That’s what’s really important to me. Taking them to school, and driving them to school every single day — it’s what I have to do no matter what my work schedule is." Kim said. "It’s really important to me. That’s just, like, my bonding time. That’s when I can get them up, get ready, but it’s madness."
