Chidimma Adetshina is back in Nigeria after participating in the Miss Universe competition.

Chidimma Adetshina has returned to Nigeria following her impressive performance at the 73rd Miss Universe competition. The First Runner-Up at the event, held on November 17, 2024, in Mexico City, was welcomed home with great enthusiasm. A large crowd gathered to celebrate her achievement, singing songs of thanksgiving in multiple languages as a tribute to her success. Adetshina, deeply moved, expressed her sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support she received from Nigeria and the broader African community throughout her journey.

In addition to her First Runner-Up title, Adetshina also earned the distinctions of Miss Universe Africa and Miss Universe Oceania. On November 19, 2024, she shared a heartfelt message on social media, reflecting on the incredible journey that led her to this moment: “I came, I saw, and I shook the universe. Her path to the Miss Universe stage was not without challenges. Earlier in 2024, Adetshina participated in the Miss South Africa pageant but withdrew due to controversies surrounding her ties to the country. During the Miss Universe 2024 finale, Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig claimed the crown, succeeding Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios, the 2023 titleholder.
