President-elect Donald Trump will headline a rally today on the eve of Inauguration Day at the Capitol One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C. Kid Rock and the Village People will perform at the Make America Great Again Rally.

The presidential inauguration is scheduled to begin at noon ET.
The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies is planning the inauguration, which includes the inaugural address; a signing ceremony, where Trump will take his first official actions as president; and a parade down Pennsylvania Avenue among other festivities.
Several celebrities are expected to perform on Inauguration Day, including country star Carrie Underwood, who will sing “America the Beautiful” just before Trump takes the oath of office.

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden will travel to Charleston, South Carolina, on his last full day in office on Sunday.
To observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Biden will attend a service at Royal Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston and deliver remarks on Dr. King’s legacy and “the continued fight to make Dr. King’s dream a reality,” a White House official told Fox News.
Biden will then visit the International African American Museum where he is expected to meet with attendees and deliver remarks.
Sunday’s travel marks Biden’s last official trip as president and “will continue his long relationship with the state of South Carolina,” the White House official said.
In 2015, Biden attended the funeral service of Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was killed in the mass shooting at Mother Emmanuel AME Church. At the time, then-Vice President Biden discussed how the churchgoers gave him strength following the death of his son, Beau Biden.
President Biden returned to South Carolina in January 2024 “where he spoke to the continued fight for racial justice and for the Soul of the Nation,” the White House official added.
During the 2020 presidential primary, Biden campaigned “extensively” in South Carolina, securing the endorsement of Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., the official said, categorizing Biden’s 2020 primary victory as “a pivotal moment in his campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for President.”

Germany’s ambassador to the U.S. has warned that President-elect Donald Trump’s administration will “undermine” democratic principles with a “maximum disruption” agenda, according to a report.
Reuters reported that it viewed a confidential briefing document signed by Ambassador Andreas Michaelis that describes the incoming Trump agenda as “a redefinition of the constitutional order – maximum concentration of power with the president at the expense of Congress and the federal states.”
“Basic democratic principles and checks and balances will be largely undermined, the legislature, law enforcement and media will be robbed of their independence and misused as a political arm, Big Tech will be given co-governing power,” reads the document, which was dated Jan. 14.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Trump transition team for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Tickets to attend presidential inaugurations are made publicly available through Congress. They are available at no cost, but there is a limited number to be dispersed.
A ticket to the inauguration allows attendees to see the president and vice president be sworn in on January 20, 2025, in person.
In order to request a ticket, people must go through their members of Congress or senators. Tickets are available in the weeks before the inauguration, and depending on the member, they could be open for requests even earlier.
Tickets are in very high demand, and not everyone who requests them can get one. However, people can still watch the inauguration. The ceremony can be viewed at the National Mall where large video screens will broadcast it to crowds gathered there.
Additionally, people can gather along the inaugural parade route. After being sworn in, President Trump will ceremonially travel from the Capitol to the White House along Pennsylvania Avenue.
Musician Kid Rock joined Fox & Friends from the nation’s capital on Sunday, where he said a “there’s a whole change in the air.” ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
“It feels like the rebirth of our nation,” Kid Rock said from Washington, D.C.
“There’s just this overwhelming sense of you know, you’ve heard it a million times, America’s back,” he continued.
“There’s a whole change in the air. There’s a whole shift in everything .. You know, they saw what he did the first time. And when you really look at the facts and the numbers and how great it was, it’s only going to be better from there. The feeling’s everywhere, and the things he said that he’s going to get done,” Kid Rock added.
The rocker is slated to perform later Sunday afternoon during Trump’s rally at the Capitol One Arena ahead of his swearing-in on Monday.
Incoming press secretary Karoline Leavitt previewed that Americans will “feel a renewed sense of hope and optimism” following President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration speech.
“You’ll hear President Trump talk about the reality of the world that we are living in, the border invasion that has turned every state in this country into a border state. You’ll hear him talk about the dire economic situation that many American households have found themselves in because of the Biden administration’s policies,” Leavitt said on Fox News on Sunday morning.
“Then you’ll hear him talk about his plan, his executive action on day one, to fix these problems that have been plaguing the American people over the past four years. And I think after hearing his speech tomorrow, Americans are going to feel a renewed sense of hope and optimism, and you’re already feeling that in the city throughout this weekend,” she continued.
Trump will be sworn-in as the 47th president on Monday.

Final preparations for President-elect Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony as the 47th president at the Capitol Rotunda are underway, photos show.
Ahead of anticipated snow and cold weather in the nation’s capital, Trump’s inauguration was moved indoors to the rotunda, where workers were seen setting up chairs and decorations over the weekend for the big day.
Trump will be sworn-in on Monday, before holding an inaugural parade at the Capitol One Arena on Monday afternoon.
President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn-in around noon Monday at the U.S. Capitol.
High-profile guests will begin arriving to the inauguration ceremony before then. Vice President-elect JD Vance will be sworn in immediately before Trump officially takes office.
Union leaders including including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Sean O’Brien and members of the Firefighter’s Union will be present on Inauguration Day.
Country music star Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful” with the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club at Trump’s inauguration.
Leading up to Trump’s inauguration, tech giants like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Tim Cook, among other executives, committed at least $1 million each to the 2025 inaugural fund.

Visiting Washington, D.C., after President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office is an opportunity to explore the nation’s capital with history in the making.
In 2023, the city welcomed nearly 26 million visitors, setting a new record, according to Destination DC.
Kristin Petersen, a travel advisor for Travelmation, told Fox News Digital that if visitors are looking for indoor activities, there are many options around D.C.
“Obviously, you will want to hit the Smithsonian’s along the Mall while you are in town, and the National Museum of American History, where you can see the Star-Spangled Banner and the First Lady’s gowns,” said Petersen.

Vice President-elect JD Vance, a proud Ohio State alumnus, said back in August that this Buckeyes team might be “the best” he’s seen in some time. That will easily be settled when Ohio State takes on Notre Dame in the national championship game later this month, and Vance wants to be there to see it.

President-elect Donald Trump and Vance will officially take office on Jan. 20 – the same day as the title game.
“Hopefully everyone is cool with me skipping the inauguration so I can go to the national title game,” Vance joked in a post on social media.

“Lone actors” pose the greatest threat to safety during the upcoming presidential inauguration events, according to U.S. Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger.
He referenced two incidents last week on Capitol Hill where people sought to “disrupt” congressional proceedings with potentially violent tactics.
An estimated 250,000 ticketed guests will attend the formal inauguration on Jan. 20, according to law enforcement.
That will be supplemented by another 25,000, who law enforcement expect will attend various demonstrations going on around the Capitol on Inauguration Day. The inauguration and its accompanying events have been designated a “National Special Security Event,” the highest federal protective status an event can receive, authorities said.

President-elect Trump delivered a two-word message on Sunday morning regarding the future of TikTok.
“SAVE TIKTOK!” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.
Trump told NBC News on Saturday that he was considering giving TikTok a 90-day extension to allow the app to continue operating. He signaled that an announcement might come after he is sworn into office on Monday.
TikTok was removed from most app stores, including those run by Apple and Google, in the United States on Saturday, as a federal ban on the popular app owned by ByteDance took effect amid national security concerns regarding potential Chinese manipulation.
Users who already had the app downloaded and opened it Saturday encountered a message that read: “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now.”
“A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S.,” it read. “Unfortunately, that means you can’t use TikTok for now.”
“We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office,” it added. “Please stay tuned!”

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk will likely claim office space at the White House as he prepares to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), according to a new report.
Musk may occupy space in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building right next to the West Wing that houses the bulk of office space for White House staffers, the New York Times reports.
Musk and transition officials have talked about what Musk’s access to President-elect Trump will look like after the inauguration, but solidified plans are pending, according to the outlet, which noted that usually special passes are required for those to freely visit the West Wing.
Musk is heading up DOGE with tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy as they target ways to eliminate government spending, waste and streamline efficiency and operations. However, the paper reported that it’s uncertain whether Ramaswamy is also expected to occupy White House office space.

EXCLUSIVE – The two victims who were injured in the July assassination attempt against President-elect Trump will be attending the 47th president’s inauguration on Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C.
David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, were critically wounded when gunman Thomas Crooks, 20, fired at then-presidential candidate Trump as he was speaking at a podium during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
“James and David are very appreciative of President Trump and his team for inviting them to attend the Inauguration weekend,” Dutch and Copenhaver said in a statement through their attorney, Joseph Feldman. “They are honored to take part in the festivities alongside the incoming administration and other guests. President Trump has treated both of our clients as though they are family.”
Feldman added that Trump “and his team have been nothing short of spectacular in maintaining an open line of communication with the families and have expressed great interest in James and David’s long road to recovery.”
