The Intellectual Property Lawyers Association Nigeria (IPLAN) has officially released the much-anticipated Executive Report on the 2023 Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Survey, a comprehensive analysis of the state of Intellectual Property (IP) and Entertainment Law practice in Nigeria.
The survey, which collates insights from 150 IP and entertainment lawyers across diverse industries—including technology, media, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and e-commerce—offers a detailed perspective on the adoption and impact of innovation in Nigeria.
The Executive Report highlights key trends, challenges, and opportunities within Nigeria’s IP ecosystem, serving as a crucial resource for legal practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders in industries reliant on intellectual property.
“This survey underscores the pivotal role intellectual property plays in Nigeria’s economic growth and global competitiveness,” said Folarin Aluko, Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Association. “By mapping the adoption of innovation and identifying gaps in IP practice, we aim to inspire actionable solutions that strengthen Nigeria’s position as a leader in creativity and technological advancement.
