This comes after the online fight between Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy and Celebrity barman, Cubana Chiefpriest.
Naija News reports that Chiefpriest revealed that he paid Burna Boy ₦1 million to perform as a backup artist during his birthday party in 2018, noting he had been successful before the singer joined the gang of wealthy people.
In a post shared via her Instagram page on Wednesday, Cynthia recounted how she was paid a similar amount of money for a show in 2018, and the show organisers later claimed she asked them out and was stalking them.
The former dancehall singer urged her colleagues to stop settling for less or begging for shows.
She wrote, “Make artiste no dey collect beggy beggy show again. Na so Maleke, beg me to pay me N1 million for the show for 2018. They later say na I toast them, say I even they stalk them. Crãzy world.”
In other news, veteran Nigerian actor, Patrick Doyle has praised Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido for his ability to remain composed in the face of criticism.
He asserted that Davido is the least arrogant among his peers, and likened the artist’s path to a philosophy by the late Obafemi Awolowo.
Speaking via a Facebook post on Sunday, Doyle explained that Awolowo had shared how, throughout his life, adversities and criticisms often aimed at discrediting him would eventually transform into blessings.
