How is it that Elon Musk and his “nazi salute”—done not once, but twice—garnered no accountability in the U.S., compared to other countries where such actions could lead to legal consequences? Hughley points out the hypocrisy in how public figures are treated, noting how other entertainers have previously faced backlash for simply acknowledging Palestinian rights, yet Musk’s actions were excused…

How is it that the same conservative voices who complain about DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) seem to have no issue with Black people entertaining them, but resist their presence in positions of power? He also notes that while former presidents (like Obama and Biden) upheld their oath to the country, Trump has set a new, troubling standard; and expressed his frustration over artists like Snoop Dogg, Nelly, and Rick Ross performing for Trump.

Hughley’s take was clear: If MAGA supporters can be outraged by betrayal, then black people have every right to feel the same way about entertainers aligning with Trump.
